Tower Bar in the Argyle Hotel W.H., quickie review

3 of us for dinner last night, it's not a huge space and was pretty full, and this a first time for all of us.
So here are some things I (and I think most Hounds would also) hate that happened.
We got shunted off to a side table that didn't bother me, but one of our party objected to, after being told no room in the main room and they don't have 'specific' tables for 'specific people, so we sat down and watched lots of 'specific' people trooping to 'specific' tables, LOL!
So two of us ordered Mediterranean 'loup de mer', told they were the last two left, and then 15 minutes later, a sheepish maitre d' came over to tell us that the chef had decided they were not of good enough quality to serve...yeh right! I suggested that customers the restaurant felt were 'more important' than we kidnapped them and at least he had the good grace to look embarrassed.

Sorry, this already too long. Waited for a hlf hour for the starters and after more than an hour later when we were ready to leave, the entree finally came...
Not slating the food bTW, it was actually good when we finally got to eat it, but none of us will be back for a second go-round.
Pluses here, not particularly noisy, piano bar singer doing standards, comfortable seats at the table, age group about 30s and up. And it's fairly pricy, $80 per person including food, (only starters and mains) tip and corkage on 2 bottles of wine.
Lots of attitude, so caveat emptor.
