Torta from the taco truck near Home Depot, El Cerrito

Glencora | Apr 8, 2008 09:33 PM

The chicken torta was on a normal french sandwich roll. Chicken was stewy, steamy, not unpleasant. There was lettuce, palid tomato, nice ripe avocado, plus whole jalapenos and spicy pickled carrots in a plastic baggy. It was okay, certainly filling. The only other torta I've had is from Casa Latina. That comes on a round roll that tastes of cinnamon. It's better, but also $7 compared to $4. This was my first taco truck. I have a feeling that it wasn't as good as it gets, but I'd love to hear from someone with more experience.
