Went out to eat recently and ordered a dinner of 3 flautas. I cut open the first one and found a toothpick totally inside it so I cut open the other two and found the same thing. I called the manager over and pointed it out to her. She comped the meal but said that it isn't unusual to find toothpicks in flautas and that it was perfectly sanitary because it had been cooked along with the flautas. Well, it was not necessarily the sanitation which was worrying me. What if I had not been paying attention and tried to take a bite with a toothpick in it?? Should one normally expect to find a toothpick buried inside a flauta?
