A week or so ago someone posted about the good and authentic Chicago-style pizza at Tony's Little Italy in Placentia.
Aha! I thought. I like pizza but, more important, I have a boss -- young guy -- who moved to So. Cal. from Chicago a couple years ago. I'll bet he misses the pizza and I can garner a brownie point or two by taking him there for lunch for his birthday on the 22nd.
So, trusting the 'Hounds, I proffered the invitation to bossman and the others we work with. Turns out someone in the office lives right behind it. He says A) the do NOT have a dining room, and B) the pizza is just so-so.
I got the impression from the posts that you could eat there, so would someone be kind enough to clarify. If I need to go get the pizza, that's not a problem as long as I know what's what. If I do pick it up, how much should I order -- how many people will a pie feed?
Also, a few more remarks about the pizza would be helpful. My co-worker admitted he's a thin-crust man, so maybe it's just not his preferred style. But bossman has been bit a couple times with promises of Chicago-style pizza in So. Cal. that didn't, er, pan out. So I don't wanna join the ranks of disappointers!
Of course, I COULD stop by on the way home and pick up a pie for dinner. Fiance and I could bite the bullet and do some research . . . I suppose!
Many thanks! 8-)
