Tom Bergin - Fantastic Wings

Went last night for a friends B-Day celebration. My tummy required a light snack - therefore I opted for a dozen wings and four pints.

All but two were drummettes (ideal wing to drummette ratio)and being a self proclaimed wing master, I could honestly say these little bastards are top shelf. Being closer in texture to freshly fried chicken legs and not swimming in vinegary hot sauce, I could honestly say the wings were unique. The spice was embedded in the perfectly crispy breading and the moist meat was easily separated from the small bones. In fact, those who are skilled in the art of the wing will have no problem executing the one bite bone clearing method. At the end of it all, nothing but bone remained. Even the cartilage nubs were consumed with pleasure.

Best wings I've had in LA thus far.

From a distance, the Burger looked nice as well. Will have to try next time. Some guy at the end of the bar was destroying one, and when he finally came up for air, I got a peak at a large patty with hot pink innards. They claim a 1/2 pounder of freshly ground lean beef served on a potato bun. Intrigued....

Merry Christmas.
