Hello Chowhounders! My SO and I are visiting Japan from NYC for 5-days and we love to eat! Through some research on the boards, I've put together an eating itinerary for our 5-day Tokyo & Kyoto vacation and wanted to run it by all the amazing veterans and experts on this board. We are big sushi fans so the itinerary is a tad sushi heavy. Also, I'm afraid it may be a bit back-loaded but these were the only reservations we were able to secure. Perhaps I should drop one of the sit-down reservations for a lighter meal?
Please let me know what your thoughts are and if there is anything we should hit that we haven't or drop to even things out, your suggestions and comments will definitely be appreciated!
Day 1 - Tokyo

Lunch - Shorairan (Kyoto)
Dinner - Katsukura (Kyoto Station Building)
Day 3 - Kyoto --> Tokyo
Breakfast - included at Ryokan (Kyoto)

Thank you all for your comments and assistance!
