New Tofu at Eden Center

Issac | Mar 9, 2004 03:34 PM

I went to the new tofu restaurant in the eden shopping mall at seven corners that the Washington post profiled this week. I think its well worth the trip.

My girlfriend is a vegetarian, so we end up ordering some sort of fried tofu dish at a lot of asian places. Not only is this place cheap (5 pieces for $1) but the tofu is probably the most delicious I've ever had. I think the difference is as big as between good artisinal cheese and the store bought variety.

We had bubble tea, 15 pieces of fried tofu, flavored either with onions or lemongrass and red chili, and pandan leaf soy pudding for dessert for about 10 dollars.

The atmosphere isn't so great, it reminds me of a subway or some other chain, but it made for a delicious lunch. I'd recommend taking home some of their fresh tofu or some fried tofu to serve to friends.
