Tim Horton's new cookies

im_nomad | May 2, 2008 01:53 PM

Some time ago, TH's discontinued their regular cookies, and told us that this was in favor of bringing in a $1/per larger cookie. (we used to buy a dozen every so often at work, to share). They were pretty good for mass-produced..dense...chewy, etc and a pretty good deal. I personally liked the pecan/caramel/chocolate one.

We tried the "new" cookies today......chocolate chunk. Horrible... horrible... horrible (and really, despite being a pretty good home baker, i'm not that picky on the run). Not much bigger ( a little thicker ), harder.......and a really strange (and cheap) taste, almost chemical-y. Left a really weird taste and "film" in my mouth.

What the heck did they do to their cookies..what were they thinking !!?!?!?!
