Went into this tiny tapas bar last night--it was nearly full at around 6:30 pm (small bar up front, about 5 or 6 bar-height tables and stools in back) owner was really nice and chatty, and knew her Spanish wines. They don't have a ton of wines--maybe 3 or 4 each of red/white by the glass, plus sangria, cava, and a couple of sherries. I wasn't crazy about the gambas a la plancha--3 shrimp (for $7) in the shell with a whiff of overused oil. No fun wrestling the oily shells off, and the shrimp itself were rather mushy and bland-tasting. Much better was the chorizo con chocolate--two bruschetta with melted bittersweet chocolate topped with thin slices of chorizo and a few wisps of hot pepper. Yum, yum, yum. Maybe needed a little bit more chorizo to balance the chocolate, but tasty. Overall, tapas seemed a bit pricey, given that the portions are quite dainty.
