I made a recipe for thumbprints last year that had you fill the indentation with jam before cooking. Most recipes require you to do this half-way through the baking process. It was so much easier this way, but I am going back to my old recipe this year, which requires filling half-way. Is there any reason I can't fill them in the beginning, before I put them in to bake? The recipes were basically the same, I just like my old one better.
