My wife, two small children, and I will be spending Thanksgiving away from home for the first time this year, in New Orleans. We love the place and are familiar with many of the great restaurants, cafes, and dives there. But where will we eat Thanksgiving dinner? I've learned that Galatoire's will be closed Thanksgiving day, and that Commander's Palace is booked with "the same people who come every year."
I would be so appreciative if you great chowhounds could steer me to a place that will be open Thanksgiving day, has great food, will accept two well-behaved children (who love to dress up), and will be lively and fun. Thanks so much for your help.
