before taking the thanksgiving bill of fare by the horns last year, my wife bought 2 cans of jellied cranberries. i decided to go au natural (in terms of the cranberry dish, that is), so we never used the cans, which i just rediscovered in our cabinet. i also discovered a few cans of pureed pumpkin that seem to have eluded their fate of a pie-related death.
aside from the obvious (using the cranberries solely as a boring side and the pumpkin for a pie), any suggestions of what i should make with these goodies. fwiw, warm weather is a while off for where i'm from, so cooler weather recipes would be perfectly acceptable.
