AM Thai Kitchen - Kensington

We sampled some food from AM-Thai Kitchen on McDonald Ave last weekend, at the Kensington World's Fair. We liked it so much we decided to get delivery last night. Fortunately, they do deliver all the way over to us on E 18th st. We got:

Curry puff (really filling and flavorful, they had a pumpkin puff at the KWF)
Shrimp dumplings (very good, pretty much what we expected)
Chicken Wings (fine, ok, not really anything you wouldn't expect. my wife was craving them.)

Special Duck Pad Thai (kind of disappointing... fatty, flavorless duck. Strange noodles that kind of grew on me, but at $13 probably wouldn't order again.)
Pumpkin curry (great heat.... really liked it but instead of pumpkin they gave us squash, which was unpeeled. Kind of put me off.)

Anyway, I really want to like this place, but at over $40 including tax and tip, I was expecting more. Not more volume (we ordered a lot) but more.... "wow". I don''t know. Anyone else have thoughts on this place, or other Thai restaurants in the Kensington / Ditmas / Midwood area?
