thai kitchen ii in NJ

has anyone been to thai kitchen II in new jersey,
by rt 287 and 202/206? i think it was in somerville
in a strip mall with an EMS outdoor store and a barnes
and noble.

friends bought me there, saying it was very authentic,
thai spicy food. nice restaurant, we had 11 ppl coming
from a whitewater rafting trip in jim thorpe, pa and
we were ravenously hungry. we orderd our appetizers .
i had the crispy duck salad, which was really good,
and i ordered it a 4 -- all their dishes, you can order
from a scale of 1 to 5 , with 5 being the most spicy.
it wasn't nearly as spicy as i wanted it to be. i am
used to the thai spiciness of sripraphai in queens, ny.
see the outer boroughs for many great reviews of this
classic chowhound restaurant. but it was very good.
friend got the soup which was too spicy for him.

for main entree, i got the shrimp and beef pad kra pao,
with spiciness 5. i got it and it tasted like a 2.
the woman bought over their 4 spices and walloped my dish
with a huge spoonful of chili flakes. this kicked it up a notch.

crispy duck was $6.95, very fair price. and the shrimp/beef
kra pao was $12.95. good service, no beer license, so bring
your own. anyone else have other experiences here?

all in all, not spicy enough, even at a 5. maybe my taste
buds are burnt out.
