I highly recommend Basil Garden Thai Restaurant in Glastonbury. The restuarant opened less than a year ago, and they are doing pretty well, but I encourage you all to eat there and support the owners and chefs.
The food is superb. We especially love the shrimp and squid salads and the noodle dishes, particularly the Pad Silver Noodles, which is unbelievably delicious. The mussels appetizer is also terrific: big, meaty mussels in a lemongrass/ginger sauce. The service is great, the atmosphere is nice, and the ingredients are fresh and full of flavor.
Seriously. It's worth the drive.
Note: Basil Garden is right across the street from Char Koon, which is also one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I'm almost tempted to move to Glastonbury.
