My neighborhood teriyaki take-out ladles a delicious sauce over the rice. I doubt if they make it themselves but even if they do I'm sure there's a similar bottled product somewhere. It's the color of soy sauce, but MUCH thicker and sweeter. My local asian market has hundreds of bottled sauces, most with labels in Japanese or Chinese, and I've made several incorrect purchases (teriyaki sauce/marinade, sweet soy sauce). Does anyone know what this mystery sauce might be?? Thank you!
