Tea Garden (Taiwanese snacks) Downtown

Gary Soup | Dec 29, 200411:43 AM

At 515 Mission Street (between 1st and 2nd Streets), in a space that use to be an Oh-La-La outlet, there is now a hole-in-the-wall place called Tea Garden. It's a boba joint up front, but also advertises "Taiwanese Snacks". Accoding to the signage, it offers noodle soups including beef noodle, other specialties like eel filets with rice, and there are some pastry-type items visible in a case at the counter.

Has anyone tried it? On the rare occasions when I don't brown bag it, I always seem to forget to head in that direction for lunch. I'm wondering if the food is interesting enough to leave my lunch at home and try it some day.
