Tasty food at Tasti Pot in Baltimore

On my way home from the Johns Hopkins Hospital I noticed a new restaurant on Fayette Street near where the Tibetan prayer flags have sprouted up. I decided to check out the new restaurant, and I'm glad I did!

Tasti Pot specializes in Caribbean food with some Indian influences. I am a vegetarian, so I ordered the vegetarian roti. I had curried potatoes, curried chickpeas (channa), and squash and it was all excellent! The bread was nice and fluffy and also quite tasty. The owners gave me a sorrel drink to try which tasted nice and smelled good but was too sweet for my preference. If someone enjoys sweet drinks, I would imagine they would like the sorrel.

I noticed a flyer that says there is a special all you can eat Carribean Buffet this Saturday from 1:30-7pm with curried chicken, shrimp jerk, chicken stew, and other dishes.

Am curious to hear what others think of Tasti Pot. You can find them at 1417 East Fayette Street. 410-327-0080
