Did anyone happen to go to the tasting at Chambers Street Wines Saturday afternoon?
I had to be out of town, but according to the Chambers tasting schedule Louis/Dressner imports over 40 French estates and specializes in "'hand-made' artisinal wines that reflect their terroir, through natural viticulture, old vines, wild yeasts, no filtration and "non-interventionist" winemaking."
I went to the worthwhile Australian Reds (good to excellent except the Vox Populi) tasting a few weeks ago and keep meaning to go back. Though I approve of the artisinal concept, it's just an ideal as far as I can tell. Still, I am dying to experience how the actual wines compare with wines produced by the more widely available, modern oeno-technology.
