"Celebrating its 21st year, Portland's Taste of the Nation is the city's premier food and wine tasting event. The event features more than 70 Oregon chefs and restaurants as well as over 40 wineries and microbreweries. The event also features local music and a great silent auction featuring fabulous food, wine and travel packages.

100% of ticket sales and auction proceeds go toward the fight against hunger."

Now, $75 is quite a deal to sample dishes from all of those places (it's all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink). For $125 you can get it an hour earlier. I'm definitely going, if only because for $75, you pretty much get a city-wide tasting menu. This will be an especially good chance to sample the fare of Toro Bravo, as well as high end "special occasion" places like Paley's or Meriwethers.
