Restaurants & Bars

Tartufo is a small, clean, attractive, competent restaurant. Four of us got to Tartufo just shy of an hour before an 8:00 p.m. show at the Old Town School of Folk Music across the street and told our Bulgarian server of our need to eat quickly. The Italian food is slightly modern, e.g., the lasagna is light-tasting and in an orange-ish red sauce. Good bread, salads, and grilled calamari. Right-sized portions of pasta. We were out the door within 45 minutes, pleased with our grub and without feeling rushed--neither us nor the staff seemed to break a sweat. Good job, Tartufo.
