I was flabbergasted by Bauer's review of Tartare. I know Mr. Morrone is infamous, but I've been twice and had absolutely DELCIOUS meals from start to finish...and most amazingly, I thought the prices were reasonable (considering the quality of food, decor and service). I mean, aside from the steak, nothing was over $30! At Boulevard and Aqua I'm not sure there's anything besides a vegetarian dish under $30. As well, MBs ranting about Morrone's food being too over-the-top was ridiculous considering the silliness and preciousness of the food at MM. Finally, two-stars? Tartare on a bad day is a three-star restaurant and once again we're all left to wonder about Bauer's credibility and ability to remain objective.
My two cents.
