I had a co-worker whose mother-in-law used to make a pudding made of tapioca and mung beans flavored with coconut milk. She would make it in the morning and it would come to work still warm ! (we should all have a mother-in-law like that in our lives !) I asked my co-worker for the recipe and she just looked at me blankly. She was a riot - never cooked in her life - never. She just said it was 'traditional'. Her mother (Cambodian) also made it though it was a little different from the one her mother-in-law (who was Vietnamese) made. I did get a recipe of sorts but the proportions were off and it didn't come out right.
Does anyone know of a pudding like this who could share their recipe ? It's great. Thanks !
