A friend of mine asked for Tapas spots for dinner in Midtown...Living here in NYC only a few months I have been acquainted with the food scene downtown a little more. So if she is feeling adventurous, she can explore! I figured I would share my knowledge with my fellow CH community while I am at it. Here are a few good go-tos:

Boqueria- 53rd W 19th St (Flatiron)
Barraca- 81 Greenwich Ave (West Village)
Nai Tapas- (Noho)
Cata- (on Bowery in Nolita) This spot I tried and it had a good selection of apps and gin & tonics. When you are eating Tapas it is always a good idea to get the G&Ts with the tonic on the side that they pour in; very authentic. All the fruits and the garnish in the beverage are a nice touch. I just looked up the restaurant and it is closed until further notice, boo!
