What a load of rubbish, over priced curry is all it is. As we entered on Saturday night, we ordered drinks from the bar.
As the menu was presented along with the nice chutneys and plastic popadom, I noticed the sky high prices for descriptions that I can find at my local curry house. Anyway i gave them the benefit of the doubt because they have a Michelin Star.
Anyway, as we ordered the waiter asked if he should bring the starters with the main course!!!!!!!! NOT MICHELIN STAR SERVICE!
Starters: Chickpeas tamarind - this arrived cold.. bloody hell. i mean thats shocking.
lamb kebab was lovely.
main course - lamb rogan josh.. tender lamb. nice but NOTHIGN SPECIAL.. for 15 quid i expect a mich star curry to be distinctive. my local curry house chef Sajad could do better than that except when he uses alsations for his lamb but thats another story all together.
Other main: Chicken Tikka Makhani. nice flavour but again nothing special.. nice egg fried rice, poor nan bread and all vey expensive.
i must mention the Sag Aloo. IT WAS BLOODY AWFUL. Spinach was all pureed and mushed together.. straight out of a can most likely and totally tasteless.
in conclusion, Tamarind is overpriced for a BLOODY CURRY you can have at any half descent restaurant. Service is rushed and its full of Indians getting ripped off.
