Ever since it opened, I've wanted to try the French-Indian cuisine at Tallula. Recently, it's received some mixed reviews. Last night, we finally went there. Among other things, we had lobster and pea dhosa, squash blossoms, pepper crusted lamb chops, stuffed cornish hen and marinated ribs. Everything was good and some things were outstanding--especially the dhosa and the lamb. It's a fun place with unusual and creative things on the menu. We ordered too much and the check came to about $35/person including cocktails (no wine). Only downside: trying to find parking in the Castro district.
