Our NE destination was closed last night and so 4 of us wandered into Masu. The atmosphere was energetic, the servers seemed glad to be there and competent, and the food was delicious. The menu has a lot on it and was a little confusing at first, but we started with sake and shared everything. A special of panko coated creamy crab meat was fabulous. We had sushi, pork belly, glazed pork rib, asparagus, Japanese eggplant with sweet miso, miso soup, grilled shrimp, and their version of a bento box centering around pork katsu accompanied by more sushi, shrimp and veggie tempura, grilled zucchini, and a rice cake. Dessert, a chocolate pancake thing, was the only thing that wasn't terrific. The tab was 125 for 4 people, which included a second carafe of sake. Loved it!
