Takeshima going downhill?

It's been our local standby for reliably decent sushi/sashimi for a couple of years now - not the best in town, but good and reasonably priced (and just down the street).

We ate there last night and it was just awful. Bland, less-than-top-quality fish, sushi rice that crumbled apart when dipped in the soy sauce - even the soy sauce itself seemed watered down and bland.

I thought it might be the infamous "holiday night overload" syndrome, but they're not a particularly romantic venue and there was no line, just the usual number of customers.

Anyone else had eaten there recently and had a similar experience? I don't want to give up on them after just one bad night, but this was really bad.
