Taiwanese Octopus Corn Balls

For those of you who enjoy regional specialty restaurants, the newly opened K K's House in San Gabriel takes specialized dining to an extreme. Based on the happy octopus logo on the restaurant, the main attraction is something called takoyaki, borrowed by the Taiwanese from Japan, described as octopus mixed in dough cooked in little balls resembling fish balls. They claim to be the only restaurant in town offering this dish. I passed on it because of the cholesterol content. They also have a full line of boba drinks, which I suspect will provide the bulk of their business. K K's House is at 818 E. Valley Bl. in San Gabriel.
