Went here per a rec from a few weeks ago. it's really in the heart and hinterlands of palos verdes estates. anyways, the restaurant is italian as far as the menu is concerned but yes it doesn't look like a pizza joint at all. Slightly stuffy, very old school almost as the decor didn't change there since the first restaurant in the space. well, ordered a thin-crust cheese pizza. they got small, medium, and large. very oily, with the orange grease i guess that stems from true ny pizzas. and all right cheese and saucing a little salty of course. it was good, but not great nor very good nor transcendent. i'm sure i've had pizza like this somewhere in los angeles, just can't remember where at the exact moment (maybe it was North End Pizzeria on 3rd st or some other joint altogether). i had quite a trek getting up there, it's about 10-15 min away from crenshaw and pch. but the drive down there is pretty scenic and nice for what it's worth. i'm just not sure if it's worth a trip just for the pizza. although i'll drive miles upon miles upon miles for the best food out there.
