I spent a week in Tuscany last month, where I ate my way through various trattorias. My favorite dish was a pasta dish generally made with fresh tagliarini cooked al dente. The pasta appeared to be tossed in some sort of butter sauce and then had shavings of fresh truffle on top. (I am assuming that the truffles used were summer black truffles, because it certainly was not the season for white truffles.) It's possible that the pasta was drizzled with truffle oil as well.
Anyway, this pasta dish was so tasty that I had it at least 3 times in Tuscany and was curious to find out whether any Italian places in the city had anything similar. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
