Since it was such a beautiful day in the city, my wife decided I should come in and take her to lunch. She works at 550 California. As I walked pass the Tadich I glanced at the menu and notice, YES, my favorite, sand dabs listed. So, I quckly called her and told her to meet me there, no al fresco dining today.

I've seen several people talk about hating to fight all the tourists there. It's my guess that less than 25% of the people there were tourists. Most were business people from the financial district, shaking hands, patting each other on the back, etc. I saw any number of people I've seen in there many times.

Short and sweet, the sand dabs where as wonderful as ever. I think they do the best job in town with them although I've had some great ones at Hayes St. Grill. Today's side was green and wax beans with baby carrots, steamed of course along with the usual big steak fries. A glass of pretty common sav. blanc went very well.

I left a happy camper as I usual do after Tadich sand dabs.
