Taco Mexico (not too long)

TomSwift | Jun 3, 2003 05:05 PM

I was on my way to Jay's for a Jayburger the other day when I passed this taco stand that looked interesting. I got sidetracked and missed my burger. They claim to be family-run. They have only tacos (75 cents) and burritos ($3.95). But what a selection: asada, al pastor, buche, sesos, lengua, tripitas, pollo and carnitas. They also have a breakfast burrito. On that first visit I had the asada burrito and it was very good. The meat was crispy on the edges and quite flavorful. Today I returned and had the carnitas burrito. It was even better than the asada. The meat was very lean yet very moist and tasty. On both visits the place was crowded and English was not the language of choice. I'm anxious to try the tacos; I neglected to ask if they are hard or soft. The place is open 24 hours. It's on the corner of Beverly and Westmoreland, 3 blocks east of Vermont.
