Table 8 continues to underwhelm

AJ | Aug 1, 200501:20 PM

Dinner there on Friday night was everything I expected it to be.
Nonchalant service, underwhelming appetizers, good not great entrees and spectacular desert!

Appetizers were soft shell crab that was completely flavorless. The wam goat cheese was nicely done but garnished with avocado which didn't work at all (I think it was a texture thing) and a balsamic braised onion which worked rather nicely.

We ordered the duck and the pork entrees. Thanks for the duck recommendation (whoever that was.) It was actually the stand out entree. I really didn't care for the pork so I left husband to polish that off. He was underwhelmed.

Chocolate souffles for desert were amazingly rich but not overly sweet. Just perfect served with a dollop of fresh cream.

I won't be hurrying back there. In a town of amazing places to eat this place just does not stand out in the crowd to me. Plus we got ripped off by the valet driver on the way out and nothing annoys me more than terrible valet service!!!
