Swifty.com 17 "American" Food Aisles From Other Countries

gaffk | Aug 10, 201503:37 PM     37

A look at some of the "American" aisles in European Grocery stores. Lots of pop tarts, sugary cereals, pancake mix, "pancake syrup" (not to be confused with actual maple syrup). Marshmallow fluff is a staple apparently. M&Ms. Lots of peanut butter. And American condiments are apparently big sellers.

I'm not sure if this reflects poorly on America--this is what Europeans think of as typically American. Or if it reflects poorly on Europe--these are the American products they seek out? Or maybe these aisles are for American expats and Americans abroad really miss their sugar bombs?
