We often eat at Sweet & Tart (off Main Street in Flushing) and anxiously try out dishes new for us. Last night brought two delights: Dried scallop on lettuce and steamed shrimp & scallop fried rice wrapped in lotus leaf. They were so uniquely balanced in flavor, texture and greatly complimented one another. The dried scallop acquired even a sweet and funky edge as it was in a fish sauce, the lettuce cooked like the best sauteed Italian escarole.
