Swedish Meringue Pie/Cake

Back in the mid to late '60s there was a Swedish restaurant on 53rd between 2nd & 3rd on the south side of the street and a couple of steps down from street level. Their dessert was a fantastic meringue pie or cake which was great. Does anyone know of a Scandinavian or Swedish restaurant or bakery in the city (including boros) that makes this ambrosia?
