Swedish meatball sauce with TVP?

I have a taste for Swedish meatballs but don't want to eat meat and I would like to use the non-gmo TVP granules I have on hand. Reviews I have read on making meatballs with the granules generally stink so I'm thinking of making the sauce and add in granules that have been rehydrated in vegetable BTB. Would be served over noodles. Does this sound like a stupid idea? I have a taste for a meat dish without the meat, using the TVP on hand...any other great ideas?
