Sushiko - new incredible Sushi restaurant in Los Altos

Sushiko is a new Sushi restaurant in Los Altos at the corner of El Camino and San Antonio Road. It is delicious! They use excellent quality fish and such sizable pieces that I order less because I get full faster. The decor is beautiful - everything was very tastefully remodeled from the previous restaurant. It is worth a visit just for the decor. Even the menus are tastefully designed - each one is covered with a different color silk.

I've been twice for lunch. Before even ordering, they bring a bowl of edamame and fresh mussel appetizers which are delicious. Today my companion ordered soft shelled crab and a huge plate of perfectly cooked crab arrived. I ordered the donburi unagi, which was more than I could finish. The fish was tasty and the rice was so perfectly cooked it was noticable.

Last time I ordered a sushi combo and the fish was fresh and plentiful. My companion ordered a bento box with teriaki salmon, which he said was very tender and the best he's had in a long time.

Heesue, the owner or manager, is so warm and is on a first name basis with all of her customers.

I don't know of better sushi from Mountain View to Menlo Park. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

They are open for lunch and dinner Mon-Sat. Address: 4546 El Camino Real Ste A4, Los Altos. 650-559-9218.
