Had omakase at Sushi yasuda and it was fantastic. Ill start by saying that Yasuda is very friendly and gracious and doesnt floor you by suggesting you keep going and going (which has happened to me at Jewel Bako)
The fish was simply amazing.
Three different types of yellowtail (kanpachi, shimaaji and warasa) All like butter and amazing. Snapper, sea bass, white salmon, (in season in alaska only two weeks a year) spanish mackerel, shrimp with some rock salt and lemon, two different freshwater eel pieces and a yellowtail roll. Oops...some fatty tuna too.
Each fish was fabulous and about as fresh as I have ever tasted. Beats Jewel Bako in my opinion and while I like Gari, they are more about dressing up the fish than just a fresh fish tasting heaven.
