Sushi Station

Paul Tyksins | Nov 15, 200310:20 AM

Hopefully, Ron_L and I aren't the only ones who share the little secret that is Sushi Station.

I've posted about Sushi Station before but it's always been in response to other posts. I don't want this place to go unnoticed.

For those of you who've tried it before, try it again. It has a new owner.

First of all, if you have kids and are somewhat cowed by taking them to places like Mirai, go here. Kids LOVE Sushi Station (if they like sushi).

The sushi is served on a conveyor belt. (You can also order from the sushi guys behind the counter.)

There's one sushi master who's probably 75 years old who started there a couple of weeks ago. Be warned: he doesn't speak much English (but everybody else there does).

Is it Mirai? No. Is it Heat? No. Is it reasonably priced and good? Yes.

The kitchen also turns out daily specials. One night I had Japanese pumpkin nimono (pumpkin simmered in sake, soy, mirin).
