Just went to Sushi Kokyo last night and the "Specials" menu was missing. They had a few of the specials, such as the Tuna Tartar and Salmon Cocktail on a reduced menu, but the other 20 or so were gone. After asking several times, I was finally told that the chef, Tsutomu Tom Sagara, had left and they were no longer offering all of the Specials!!! I also remembered that the restaurant had mysteriously shut down a few weeks ago for "repairs".
Does anyone know what happened? More importantly, does anyone know where the chef went and if he's making his specials anywhere else?
