So, I went here on the reccomendation of my SD Chowhound friends for lunch. I had the thali. Roti were light and tender. Basmati rice was pretty spot on and I enjoyed the salty mango pickle as well as the neat presentation.
There were three curries:
- A dry potato with golden raisins and cashews (mustard seeds)
- A Moong bean
- A summer squash - possibly bittermelon
I liked the squash one the best - though none were especially memorable or sang out to me.
The thin yellow lentil dal was exquisite though - and I admired the heat and soothness on the throat.
Samosa was understandably delicious but not quite at the level of Sukhi's Bay area samosas with their addicting cardamom potato filling.
The syrup soaked bright orange pretzel like oily dessert - I ate but dont ask me why.
The sample of Cashew kulfi I received forces me to go back for that.
Next time Im going to get those potato pattie hamburgers.
