I was in San Diego for the first time this past weekend and went to Super Cocina on University, based on Chowhound posts. I just want to say it was fantastic. I got the birria (goat) and the carnitas. My wife got the carnitas as well and chicken. The two entrees came with rice and beans and tortillas, all for $5.95. The carnitas was great, but the goat was a real revelation. Finally, there was a guy working there who took the time to tell us about the dozen or so different dishes and let us sample them; he made the experience all the more pleasant. Thanks to all those who've posted on this place. I also went to Chilango's, which was very good, but paled in the price and flavor comparison with Super Cocina.
