I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who posted a recipe in reply to my request and to report back on how it went.
We finally decided on a "customized" version of Jason Perlow's killer nachos. We opted for fresh red and green peppers rather than the roasted, and we omitted the olives (a split decision which my side lost). We also jazzed up the Old El Paso mix with some other herbs and spices. All in all, quite a substantial, tasty and popular dish.
Also had raw carrots and celery, accompanied by the Rouille posted by Deb. Another knockout.
Now we have a pile of recipes that we have to get through. Looks like it's gonna have to be the Knicks and/or the Rangers next...
