Sunday Brunch at SLC's Acme Burger Co.

As our usual pre-Jazz game hangout, The Bayou, is closed on Sunday, I finally got my season ticket buddy to join me at Acme.

I went with the Elk Chopped Steak And Eggs, and it was way yummy. The eggs were absolutely perfect, and the yolk running together with the accompanying Chipotle Romesco Sauce had me sopping up every last drop with my toast after the fluffy whites and dense steak were long gone. The elk was really good, if done a bit more than I would have cared for. I really like the dense texture and the taste of refined gamieness. Did an order of shoestrings with their new poblano aioli (way good) for dipping.

My buddy opted for the Grilled Caesar with the cured salmon add-on. He's a Caesar freak, and he enjoyed this version. The grilling of the romaine is indeed a tasty inspiration.

Among the special items on the menu for Mom's Day were a chilled cantaloupe soup and some nice Bloody Mary variations. We went with Bloody Marias, which included Sauza tequila and a splash of orange juice along with the traditional proceedings. Way yummy, and they put me in the mood for screaming for the duration of what would be a thrilling overtime playoff game.
