Summerlicious - Foccacia

First off, as some have already reported, Foccacia is extending their summerlicious offerings until Labour Day.

They were quite busy when we arrived so we were asked to wait for 10-15 minutes upstairs but then were give a roomy table. The menu (according to my friend) had changed from the one that is posted online - not that it was a bad surprise though since wer had more choices than I had anticipated (6 appetizers, 6 mains, 3 desserts)

We had:

Scallops (slightly spicy, very tasty); Tuna Carpaccio with Avocado salso (maybe it's me, but I don't enjoy the flavour of it); Wild Mushroom Fricasse with Herb Goat Crostini (did not try that but it was apparently very good)

Penne with Mushrooms and Tomato Cream (very authentic, as the Italian person at the table said); Salmon (did not try that); New York Striploin; Pork Tenderloin (both were very tasty)

I was too full at that point to really savour (non-Chocolate) dessert, so I ordered the Mango-Banana-Coconut tartufe for everyone to share and got myself a strong Cappucino instead. Everyone went for the chef-made lemon tart which they seemed to enjoy.

Ordered two Mojitos (lime-rum-mint) which was excellent. Larry was quite affable and seemingly enjoying himself. Dinner was $178 for 4 people before tips and included 2 Mojitos, a bottle of carbonated water, a cappucino and espresso. I really enjoyed the meet and the reduction sauce served with it and will likely go back again for the summerlicious menu later in the summer.
