Summer Menu Help- please

We are having two other couples over for dinner this weekend and I'm at a loss! I want something tasty and medium-work-intensive, not too froo-froo but a step up from hamburgers on the grill.

For some reason, I can only come up with cold-weather ideas, like risotto, or roasted chicken. We have done steak and shrimp on the grill a lot with these folks, so would like something different. Also, can't do pork, but anything else is fine.

My one idea so far is doing stuffed fried squash blossoms to munch before dinner, but can only do that if the farmer's market has them (sometimes they don't). Also we have lots of good cherry tomatoes in the yard.

Any ideas welcome!
