I finally got to Sultan in the Tenderloin the other night and was pretty impressed, particularly by the quality of the ingredients. The decor was certainly nicer than nearby Indian/Pak. dives, but that was not the main attraction. Twas the food that was the star.
It's arguably a bit under spiced, and their naan wasn't terrific, but the food was carefully prepared and tasty. I still prefer that place on Van Ness, the name of which now esacapes me -- perhaps some one can chime in -- the spot with that fantastic mustard green dish.
