May I request your suggestions Chowhounds?
I'm putting together a birthday meal for a special friend featuring lovingly marinated and slow baked (6 hour) baby back ribs. I've recently prepared and eaten southern style Vadalia Onion Pie and it turned out so well that I thought of serving it as well, however, I'm wondering if that might upstage the "pièce de résistance" (the ribs) too much.
I would value your opinions and/or suggestions.
Old fashioned Canadian Butter Tarts for dessert.
